Forums - Gaming - Who is excited for The Godfather 2?

I know I am. I played the first on the PS2 and I loved it. I played it threee times and did everything that could be done.

I have been seeing some videos and I think that this game will follow the same formula. It will just add more stuff to control (rackets, warehouses, etc.) with the Don view.

Yes, it's not the best graphics out there but they look pretty solid to me. The most important part to me, is keeping the gameplay of the first.

I am so looking forward that I am thinking of buying it instead of renting it just to be able to really get all of it instead of rushing for the trophies

What about you? Are you looking forward to it?

If yes, which platform are you getting it for?

Renting or buying?

Anyway, the game is due April 7th on thr US and April 10th in Europe.

Does anyone know if they will release a demo before?

Some gameplay vids:

It's looking good, but I'm more excited for Mafia 2.

I will still get The Godfather 2 though

I never played any of the games so I don't know what to expect from it.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY

This is the second game. The first game was initially on the PS2, but then it was ported to the Wii and 360.

Pick it up if you have a chance. I hear the Wii version is pretty good.

The first one had a feeling of GTA with RPG elements.

Its free-roam with a main quest and several sidequests.

You can upgrade your weaponry and your skills (and the ones of your henchmen - Wii and PS3 version, not the PS2)

The Godfather 2 will be just like that with more customization, more businesses to control, etc.

It really seems like just improving the formula.

And again, not the greatest graphics, but I don't care that much.

Cause its gonna be ported to Wii,i can tell you right now.

I don't know. Makes sense since they did it with the first one.

I guess not a lot of people are that excited.

I am really hyped for it.

I do wish they could improve graphics a bit, but it's not that important.

The whole henchmen thing seems good without being too complicated (kinda like Freedom Fighters for those who played it)

Also, I forgot: TROPHIES!!!!

Best of all, no annoying online trophies.

So, even the trophy whore in me is happy.

PS - The multiplayer mode Don's control really seems like something that would only work (and I still think it will be hard) with clans.

Actually i think Mafia 2 looks better.

Yeah, the graphics do seem better. But have we seen gameplay of Mafia 2?

Since I didn't play Mafia 1, I can't comment on gameplay. Did you play it?
