There are a heck of a lot of Wii games you abhor, along with the system in general, but you can't honestly say you aren't impressed when we have barely any info presented to us.

Frankly, the graphics at this stage are good enough for me, I just want the game to be fun.

I've yet to see any graphicly impressive Wii game... and that's because it simply can't impress me.  The graphics that Wii is capable of putting out are out dated to almost every one on these forums

It doesnt matter because it hasinnovation!__sarcasm

Tell me. Why is it that console gamers seem far more immature about gaming than their PC counter parts. You typicly don't hear predomnent PC gamers complain about games like Bejeweled or WoW having inferior graphics than say Crisis. It's simple they are more mature and know that style is greater than graphics. Ther eare exceptions of course.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

It's not console. It's simple fanboyism. Finding any excuse to put something down. Claiming the Wii "can't" impress is just BS, because those people were likely impressed by 6th gen systems.

It's a shame that it's going to take forever to come over to the states (MHP2G is now 12 months removed from it's JP launch, and still only has a 'Spring 09' release date for the US).

Also, this game is pay-to-play in Japan (20 bucks for 3 months, eight bucks for one), and if it's pay-to-play in America, I will just stick with the PSP versions, since Capcom has stated the PSP would still be getting Monster Hunter.

@DMJ Weren't all of the monster hunter games P2P in japan?

I'm impressed, with how much you like to troll the Ninty forums.

Bah, system-wars trolling is nothing special. But keeping it up at such a high and consistent level, while still managing to stay just away from the permaban line? THAT'S impressive.

Esa-Petteri, I salute you while you're still around to see it!

This says less about the Wii's impressionable technical capailties and more about your lack for artistic integrity and style.

The rEVOLution is not being televised

I think MH2 Freedom looks hot on my PSP. I'd be surprised if MH3 looked bad on the Wii.

There's not a whole lot to render during MH adventuring, other than the main character, your pals, and just a couple monsters. The environments have traditionally been sorta bland -- hopefully the Wii version will change that.

On the pay-to-play topic, its true that it has not been confirmed that it will be pay-to-play in NA.  It also hasn't been confirmed that it won't be pay-to-play (like it will be in Japan), or that its even coming overseas.  Supporting online play isn't free, and the idea that Capcom will give it away in NA, the Wii's largest region, is kinda... hard to believe, even if it was true on the PS2.  That being said, I'm gonna score it right away if its free to play online.  I won't touch it if its a subscription MMO on the Wii, however.

To address thje subscription thing again, I'l point out that the PS2 is a Sony platform, and SCEA (not SCEI) was pretty generous when it came to supporting online services in NA, for the PS2.  The Wii is Nintendo -- and obviously something has motivated Capcom to charge for Wii online in Japan.  I doubt its "Japan"/"NA" and I would wager it has something to do with SCEI/SCEA and NoJ/NoA.  If NoA is generous (and they do have motivation to increase Wii online services, IMO), maybe it'l be free.

From one earlier thread, someone informed me that MH2 on PS2 was P2P in Japan but not in NA. Maybe MH Tri would follow the same path.

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

I think Capcom will wait until the series establishes an audience in other regions before charging for online.
