its confirmed it is!

"Monster Hunter 3 producer Ryozo Tsujimoto is uncertain about the fate of the game in the overseas market. He said, “Right now we don’t really know if we’re even going to make an overseas version yet so right now we’re still kind of just looking at the Japanese market." - january 7th, 2009. Source

I'm not going to get hyped for a game that probably will never get released here, and if it will, it probably is pay 2 play.

I'm not impressed.

Why am I not suprised....

OT: Looks very promising can't wait for this game.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

Good, hopefully this will boost the Wii's selling power since MH3 is a "big name brand" in Japan.

“There is no significant change in Capcom’s strategy, and we will primarily release game titles for PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii. In addition, we plan to release our leading titles overseas to acquire game users, as the overseas market for Wii is extensive. One of our leading titles is ‘Monster Hunter 3 (tri-).’ If we can gain recognition of this product in the European and North American markets, our market strategy will see a noticeable change. Meanwhile, we are reviewing the possibility of releasing new titles besides ‘Ace Attorney’ for Nintendo DS.” Source

Question: Is there even a second screenshot of Monster Hunter 3? I've been seeing the one posted in the OP for one and a half years now.

Screens: here, here, here, here and here.

Videos: here and here.

I'll buy it so long as they keep the local co-op.

Add me for Pokemon, New Leaf, and Fire Emblem, Mario Kart 8.

I saw in the interview that they said they will release overseas if there is an interest for it. Japan only games are just foolish to me. Bring it over here please.

I hope only G is pay to play. I am really looking forward to Monster Hunter 3 and I really wish it would come the western regions.

A lot of devs have talked the talk of making the best on Wii (notably Treyarch with World at War), though i think in this case they're walking the walk. Unless its utterly plagued by framerate problems or some such

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Pay2Play Was confirmed for MHG so this one will be Pay2play too.

that sucks...
