To all the Sony console fanboys: it's just a games console. It happened to Sega, will happen to Sony and will inevitably happen to MS at some point when the next big thing comes along.

Relax, take a deep breath, pop some pills if need be and keep in mind the trade-in value of PS3's - you could be enjoying Gears 2 action right now if you hurry!!

Because quite frankly...people don't have enough drama in they're lives. I'm being general here, not just Sony fanbois. And the console war is a fantastic way to get that passionate drama without leaving your house. Everything that is said here or goes on in this site is absolutely irrelevent; but it doesn't matter, thats part of the point.

Anyone who takes the console wars seriously has some issues(unless of course,you make your money in some way related to it).

What I find interesting is - opposing views from one side of the room. I have all three consoles and like all of them, or I wouldn't have bought them. However, just because a poster prefers one console over the other, it seems you are a Benedict Arnold.

I can't tell you how many threads where a poster (Col. Stubbs comes to mind) decided to sell his PS3, there were a firestorm of hate and 'You'll be back.' I know several Xbox folks that got a PS3 and no one blasted them.

It's not just that - look at KZ2. If you didn't enjoy the demo, or the game, or think it was TEH GREATEST EVAR! then you had brain damage.

There are some loons all over this site and teh Internet, but seriously, it's like Pavlov's dogs - you post a Sony, PS3 post that deals in reality, and the swarm rushes in. It never fails - and the personal attacks - I can think of at least 3-4 PS3 owners that have threatened bodily harm over someone's opinion.

I think folks often attach unrealistic expectations to consoles, mainly to justify and validate their purchase, and to say 'Hay, I picked the winning console!'

I am sure this will go down into flames, but I still had to post this.

Its better to have petty issues like a console war instead of not knowing where your next meal is gonna come from. Sorta puts our (problems) into perspective . Don't take people here too seriously.
