Hi, I am very happy about this chance of getting Netflix thru my Wii, BUT I doubt Wii is capable of Quality streamming because has not so much memory for a good buffer and hidef output...

can someone disagree or explain how Wii can do Streamming video? I see this memory limitation as a strong limitation for this type of service...

For obvious reasons it won't be HD. Other than that there's no reason why it wouldn't be able to work, it plays YouTube videos and the like just fine.

I bet nintendo would do something to make this work, because I see this as another big draw for the casual market. From the sounds of that survey send out, this is a go. I'm really excited.

It streams video from the Nintendo Channel. i don't see why it couldn't for Netflix.

Exactly. Nintendo is already streaming video with the Wii. It isn't rocket surgery, you know.

Netflix seems to think the system can handle it. Of course they probably base it on silly things like facts, testing, and knowing how easy it is for a machine to stream video.

What's next, "the Wii can't handle 3D games"?

streaming high quality from youtube works better on Wii than PC, so i don't see the why

but something has to be done about the flash memory or what is called because you cannot stream a whole movie, unless it is in parts, at least from my experience

The whole point of streaming is that you don't need a big buffer, assuming you have a decent enough connection. The fact that the Wii will most likely stream at 480p further reduces the need for buffering and bandwidth.
