I just hope that Gothic 4's demo wasn't its final build, as it was starting to give me a headache as I went along.

I'm rarely affected by framerate drops or camera problems but that demo was bothering me as well.  Just enough to hurt the eyes and make me stop and look away for a few seconds.  Some people would be nauseated or even have a seizure.  That would suck.  I hate to sound bitchy but Gothic was mostly on my radar because of it's rep as a deep, open-world rpg on the PC.  This version may not be either from what I've been reading so switching it for Fable 3 was a no brainer.  I was uncomfortable not getting Fable at launch anyway.  I'm sure the released game will be better and I'll give Gothic a spin after some time on a couple of really solid wrpgs.

Nice job holding your temper on Wagram's comment in the pre-order thread.  I had some pretty nasty stuff written up starting with "I might be concerned about your opinion if you weren't... meaning a GPODS.  That would have been my first ban.  I deleted it and got some sleep but I'm still surprisingly pissed.  I could give a crap if he had a bad experience with one of the Fables really   His comment was obviously just to anger and put down wrpg fans.  It worked.  Darth is probably the most likable PS3 fan on the site but he shouldn't have defended that bs.   Wagram can stew as he watches it hit damn near 1.5m WW in a week and AAA meta.

Just a heads up for all the Alan Wake fans The Writer is now up on live to download and personally think its worth the 560msp so far. It is if anything even more bizzare than the previous dlc which is no bad thing. It has also been a nice break from trying to get to Lt Colonel in halo reach, only 75000 credits to go.

So here is a quick question.  When you find a game that you absolutely love, do you grind non-stop through it, as long as it takes, until you are practically sick of it a month later or do you make it last and play other games in between, taking your time?

It depends... do I want to win the tourny race or not? :)

For me, since I usually have difficulty juggling multiple games at the same time, I'll play a single game out then move on to the next. Especially if the game has relatively obtainable achievements.

@eNamrah, yeah I didn't think about it, league races definitely affect my play choices.  Although I would like to think even if DR2 wasn't a race I would have still grinded the heck out of it.

I don't have a problem juggling a few games at a time but I love when a game is so good that you don't want to play anything else.

Actually, I run into problems trying to jump right back into something I haven't played in years.  When I picked up Phantasy Star Universe again I ended up starting over from scratch just because I didn't remember all the subtle little aspects of the game they train you on when start out.

I always play a good game through to conclusion.  Second time through I might play something else for variety but any more than 2-3 and I have trouble remembering what's what.  Games with odd camera set-ups like Ninja Gaiden Black, Too Human or Deadly Premonition leave me fumbling when I go back to right-stick = look.  Today I picked up ACII after a month or so and kept getting myself backstabbed when I broke target lock trying to block with LT.  Surrounded by five guys with swords is not the spot to relearn the basics.  I'll practice before I buy Brotherhood.  I'd be more adaptable if I had started young but better late than never.

Given the complexity and nuiances of controls and gameplay in games now-a-days I find it better to play the game until I am sick of it.

generally speaking...my attention span is very limited.  so a lot of times its hard to finish a game, since i always want to move on to something new, or sometimes(rarely) back to another game i was playing before.

Hey Neo something seems really strange about my TA ration this week. I've got 145gs but the true achievements score is -15,899 (ie negative for some reason).  Thought it was pretty weird.
