Great news. I love violence, blood and brutality in games.

ive been waiting for games to actually have guts spilling, heads explode, limbs flying, etc etc etc. so i am excited for this, its a step in the right direction for better more kick ass gaming. its rated M for a reason

Ok, so where does that place Madworld?  People were completey stoked for it's violence, that was the main and sole purpose the game and why people really wanted to play it.

This is more of an added feature that they've been wanting to take advantage of for a long time, they just never had the technology to do so.  Now that they actually have it, their going to use it.

I can tell you that most people aren't going to play just because of what they stated.   It's an added bonus for cool factor and realism.

Sorry to say, but in real life when you gut a dear you can't censor the blood, guts, gore or ban people from doing it.

There is a difference between Mad World's violence, or God of War's violence up to that point, and actual realistic violence. One is stylized, the other may be taken as grotesque.

This is God of War. Its violence is supposed to be gory and over the top. I hope it does not go through a lotta crap with the ESRB.

@Khuurta - Still should make no difference. It's still violence and who says people don't have "issues" playing Madworld and loving all the violence in it?

There is a difference between different kinds of violence, though. It's like saying the violence in Hostel is the same as that in Kill Bill, or Ong-Bak.

Of course, that is definitely difference types of violence.  One is Gore and one is just fighting with blood.

But Gores doesn't mean your sadistic for watching/playing movie/game.  I love the Saw series that has a lot of gorey scenes, but am I sick and disturbed no, I just happen to like the movies.

It goes the same way as GoW.  I will love to play it for it as a game, but watching Kratos rip guts out isn't exactly going to be non-cool.  It will be cool to see, just because most games won't ever do that.

Movies are easier to find, but there should be no difference in watching a movie or playing a game with like gore/violence.  Then enjoying for entertainment, and I don't mean a sick and sadistic kind of entertainment.

I'm not implying that playing the game makes you sadistic. I'm just saying that it may be grotesque to people who thought that tearing off Medusa's Head was peachy keen. That's all.

Depends on the way its done, if it was with some humor in it I would probably laugh.
