I liked the beginning part of the story for RE4. No more zombies or racoon cities. It was really interesting and some of the twists early on were great. Right about when you reach the castle...eh. The story sorta diminished in quality. Overall- top five games on my wii to this day

Stop arguing with yourself, it's embarrazing.
On topic, I see the story the same way I see the plot of an Indiana Jones movie's: not at all special, pretty cheesy in fact, but it gives you a good enough excuse to get to the next batch of awesome. Campy fun, really.
