You should send me some money so I can buy all the games I want.

Well it didn't take long for the negative thinking to come into here.

You should of approached it more like this.

Problem:

Have no money to buy games

Questions:

1. How Can I get money?

2. What other way can I play the game?

Proactive Solution:

Save up money, help do some small things here and there for people to get some money.

Cheapest alternative, convince a friend who has money to buy it (which equals a sale), then borrow their copy or play it at their house.

Me getting free money sounded pretty positive to me. You're the one bringing the whole "help people" negative idea into this.

I am very proactive on problem 1. I recommend people to get Sonic games all the time.

EDIT: Wait a second, I don't really complain about the sales of Sonic games. I don't have a problem other than being pansy which I am not.

Why recommend people to waste their hard earned money on Sonic games? At this point, Sonic is only for hardcore fans of the series. You can't honestly expect normal people to enjoy them much. For the price of the latest Sonic game, a gamer could just pick up Okami and Zack & Wiki for the same price easily.

The average gamer wouldn't like those games.

Well lately there has been alot of complaining about alot of crap to do with the wii etc... now all I ever see is some Wii Owners and other gamers bitch here and there about the HUGE amount of casual games, however there is no real solutions or proactive things that they do. Well I am sick of it, life is TOO SHORT TO BITCH!

This thread is dedicated not for bashing but rather stating the problem and a solution. I will start this off.

Problem 1:

Complaining about X game has poor sales (i.e MadWorld)

Questions:

1. Did you buy the game yourself or just complaing about it selling poor?

2. Did you make aware/recommend it to your friends who own a Wii (well before the release date)?

Proactive Solution:

Buy the game your complaining about, recommend it to your friends by showing them some game footage online etc.. or at least getting them to know the name. Not everyone in the world uses the internet to look at game reviews and trailers etc... Most people are compolsive buyers, they just go out and buy.

Problem 2:

Negative Mind Set. Wii only sells casual games well, and only has casual games.

Questions:

1. How does sales of a casual game really affect my enjoyment of a core game?

2. Surely there has to be games that appeal to me?

3. Can I help change the way my gamer friends see the Wii?

Proactive Solution:

Your preception of the Wii can change, there are plenty of core games on the Wii that can be enjoyed. If your a real gamer you would understand that each console has its good and bad points. Just because there is more of casual then core games, doesn't meaning there is nothing that will appeal to you and your friends.

Be postive! Don't take sale figures to heart. Don't take how many casual games there are to heart. This will only make you less likely to buy games in general (core games), meaning lower sale. You are smarter then that. You know how to use the internet, find the games that appeal to you and buy them, then recommend them to your friends. Don't waste your energy complaining about casual games when we know the GAMING MARKET has expanded. Just forget about the casuals, do your research as mentioned before you will find something that you will enjoy. Life is too short to complain about irrelivent things to you.

I bought Madworld so i have every right in the world to complain about its sales.

Why not? The Wii has 50 million people out there looking for something to play. I look at games like Zelda and Fire Emblem, and think to myself, "The Wii does have a hardcore fan base just any other console would". Wii fans just aren't buying those games.

Madworld posted the numbers in 4 days that people complained about Boom Blox getting in 1 month. Boom Blox is currently sitting pretty at 900,000 copies sold. I'm not saying Madworld's sales will equate this, but give the game a chance. Games don't sell on the Wii the way they did on previous consoles, or on the other 2. Wait a couple of weeks or something. 4 days is not enough to complain about sales.

actually people that complain the most are not even wii owners....most of us already know that wii games don't have huge openings besides first party games, but they have huge legs

Yes.. Yes it is

On topic: I do that all the time, link all my friends who own a Wii to videos or articles about games I know will interest them. For example one of them loves sports games so I've got them looking forward to Wii MotionPlus for EA's new sports titles. One of them likes arcade style games and loves ghost sqaud and hotd 2 & 3 so I've been pumping up Overkill, Extraction and Darkside Chronicles to them and another is completely random and so I just link him to whatever lol

If I buy a game and I love it then I take it around to their house to show them, I'm not gonna go and hype MadWorld up to everybody just because I'm looking forward to it but I have linked them all to a video of that and The Conduit and 2 of my friends want MadWorld and all 4 of my Wii owning friends want The Conduit.

I'm not doing it so the game can get sales or whatever else, I'm doing it because I know my friends will thank me for telling them about an awesome game that they would have skipped over otherwise..
