I guess I should explain my statement a bit more. i remember when ExciteTruck came out there were some very good reviews (iGN comes to mind) and some terrible ones like 1up. It all came down to if the reviewer understood how to use it. I almost didn't buy it due to the bad reviews, but in the end i couldn't help myself do the the nostalgia of ExciteBike. I am so glad i did! I thought the game was excellent. Having not played LAIR, i have no idea if it is really a steaming pile of ***, but one thing is certain, it is getting similar treatment from reviewers. Like ExciteTruck some seem to be enjoying it while others think its broken. This all just goes to show that you should really try a game out for yourself. Rent FTW!

The funny thing is that no matter how many BAD reviews fanboys will read about a game, once they find a review that says everything they were hoping to hear about the game before its release, they will convince themselves that everyone else must be wrong and they should buy the game. Hmmm, 1 game site praising the game, or 20 others knocking it...everyone else must be wrong, right? I'm really glad one person out of 20 got the review right...jesus, what is wrong with people?

Controls are something different due to the SIXAXIS. It's just like most Wii reviews; some people like the change, some not; any PS3 game that not only utilizes the motion controls but depends on them, is bound to have the same fate.

I'm tired of hearing this argument. Do you honestly believe that most reviewers haven't acclimated themselves to the Wii or Sixaxis?

To answer my own question, they have. As a reviewer, I've played more games in the past three months than most people do in a year.  I play games I love, I play games I like, I play games I hate. I have to play whatever slot I get in the reviewing system. That doesn't mean I don't "understand" motion controls; some are GREAT. Like WiiSports. That was brilliant motion control. I'm actually quite accomplished with motion controls and my friends are frustrated athe points where I cruise through without difficulty.

My point is that Lair is NOT a good game. It's not. If you're trying to tell people it is that means you're either a fanboy, an idiot, or you've never played a fucking game in your life. End of story.

Hey PSM actually gave a score almost as low as IGN's, Gamespot and Gamebrink went even lower. I think it should be quite clear by now that Lair is not a great game. Warhawk and Heavenly Sword are, go brag about them, this one is Fanboy food. *Cuts off huge hunk of meat*. Oh and I am not conceding Triple A status to Warhawk and HS though.

People are dissapoted because they where awaiting the newest PS3 killer-app and all they got is just a good game . If the game would have come out silently , like a nice surprise than I be that reviewers whom gave it 4-5 would gave it around 7 .

Even the Playstation Universe site gave a major hyped AAA title only a 8.5...

Is this thread made to mock PSU reviews or something?

Cause the new issue of Game Informer gave Lair a 7.25 and an 8 which is pretty drastically different from the Gamsepot, EGM and IGN reviews too.

The game blows. End of story. Next flop.....

i dont give a Hoot bout reviews and i bet half you people in there hanvt played it. im gonna get it after a lil while because of money ;(
