Forums - Sony - New SECRET PS3 Exclusive which is a "True blue SYSTEM SELLER" ~ BOMBSHELL!

What is Ben Dutka's 'Secret PS3 exclusive'??

Ben Dutka, Editor-in-Chief over at Psxextreme.com, wrote an article yesterday discussing current and future 'PS3 system sellers'. Of course he mentioned Metal Gear Solid 4, LittleBigPlanet, Killzone 2, Uncharted and the like. Then things began to get interesting..he listed Gran Turismo 5, God of War III, and Uncharted 2,

ALL guaranteed PS3 sellers...then he dropped this bombshell:

The Secret PS3 Exclusive: That's right...it's a secret. We know what it is, and we know it's a true-blue system seller. We know people have been waiting for the announcement...we know it exists...we know the confirmation is coming...but we ain't gonna tell ya 'bout it, because we promised we wouldn't. Just trust us when we say, it deserves to be on this list.

What!?! What could this title possibly be? Before you start guessing, Ben gave out a few hints in the comment section.

"I can't give any hints about the secret game itself but I CAN tell you it's NOT the Team ICO title." he responded to one commenter.

"It's not a currently announced title. That's all. :) ", he told another.

One user asked about a potential unveiling date and Ben responded "I really have no idea. I could guess at a month or two, but it's only a guess."

When asked if it was a new IP or not: "Er...no. I mean, no, we can't say whether it is or it isn't."

Then Ben provided some interesting information: "And I'll tell ya what, people: the game in question has already been mentioned in the Comments. You can just fight amongst yourselves to determine which one it might be...you'll get no confirmation from us. HA. ;)"

There was a TON Of titles guessed across 145(!!) comments, so I'll narrow it down.

It's not Team ICO's game. Team ICO games haven't been 'system sellers', it just that everyone who played them loved, lol.

Twisted Metal PS3 will be big, but I don't believe it'll be a 'system seller', even though it will sell a good bit of copies.

Some people mentioned Kingdom Hearts 3, but sadly..I think KH will be going multiplatform this generation.

My guess? Metal Gear Solid 5. The Metal Gear series a guaranteed system seller and it would make sense. Playstation: The Official Magazine rumored that MGS5 would be announced in the next month or two and Ben mentioned that the title could be announced in a month or two, but he was only guessing. Plus we ALL know MGS5 is coming, even though it hasn't been *officially* announced to the gaming world.

I'll update this post with ANY and ALL information as Ben let's it be known!

The PS3 Guy.

Interesting. :)

Wonder if its just bs or does he know something.

You seem to always bring great news for the PS3 owners, I thank you for this. I have no idea what this would be but I do agree that if it is MGS5 it will be huge and a system seller.

That's pretty interesting, I wonder what it will be? MGS5 is possible, but I just don't think that's going to be it. Won't surprise me in the least for it to be PS3 exclusive though. There's no doubt it could sell a lot on the 360, but due to size constraints I really don't see them bothering with making a game over 8-9 discs on console (7.? gigs a piece, considering 4 was rumored to be 40 or 50 gigs..and a lot of data would have to be duplicated per cd, in terms of movements, animations, items, etc that you only have to paste once on a single-game disc.) They'd have to pay way too much to do that.

If they consider LBP and Uncharted to be system sellers, he just might be referring to Twisted Metal. Personally, I don't think Twisted Metal would push systems tho, but that's just me.

The BuShA owns all!

LEGEND OF DRAGOON!!!!!!!!!!

Considering MGS4 is already out, true series fans already own PS3's, and I don't see MGS5 giving even close to the same hardware boost that 4 did.
