I bet the topic creator feels like a moron now. Bioshock outsold MP3 easily in their first weeks. Never believe vague articles whose original souce had NO NUMBERS but just said MP3 outsold bioshock THIS WEEK (which it did).

So allow me to correct the title of this thread: And the winner is ==> BIOSHOCK!!!!

I'm not terribly surprised. Bioshock released on two platforms (and maybe WW?). Taking that into consideration, MP3 selling around 3/4's week one is pretty decent =).

I really want to play bioshock...but I have too many games lined up already!

The sales are for 360 only, so the whole releasing on two platforms thing doesn't matter and Bioshock outsold MP3 first week.

The question now is which one has better legs.

Also, the 360 has a much bigger userbase in the Americas and it's userbase is mainly hardcore, Wii on the other hand... so much for being the casual system.

Same here. X360 owns US... It would mean one of every ten users bought Metroid... yes, it's definitely game to pick up when we consider current lineup but... more than Bioshock? Nope. I don't see it happens.


um, actually metroid sold to a greater percentage of wii users than bioshock did to 360 users in NA in their first weeks, you competely defeated your own point.  Metroid i probably gonna have better legs and outsell bioshock.
