Why would they force multiplayer on this game. It is never been a game for multiplayer and never will be

 It's the "we."

I wouldn't mind trying some multiplayer. No one forces you to play it.

It's not about forcing us to play it. It's about insisting Nintendo is obligated to include it.

It's 2009...

That's only valid if every single game but Punch Out had online. They don't, so try something just a little more specific than the damn year.

This isn't some epic, story driven adventure. It's a boxing game. I don't see any reason why online play wouldn't work.

You say that like there's some switch they can flick and get perfectly integrated online play. It may just be a cost/benefit thing.

"Now, a fun game should always be easy to understand - you should be able to take one look at it and know what you have to do straight away. It should be so well constructed that you can tell at a glance what your goal is and, even if you don’t succeed, you’ll blame yourself rather than the game. Moreover, the people standing around watching the game have also got to be able to enjoy it." - Shiggy

You wouldnt' believe how many things gamers think there is a switch for.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Clearly they need to delay the game for a couple of months to give us some laggy online.

Actually, I think local multiplayer will suck and be the equivilent of atari boxing

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

Wii Boxing says local could work.

If it is anything like the original punch-out, then you don't have half the controls that you have in Wii boxing.
