Forums - Gaming - Good God Resident Evil 5 is bad

So you hate it because it's too hard?

I hated the last two chapters because of those enemies, and the cover system is badly implemented. I love the bosses, and the first four chapters. Overall, it's good.

The game wasn't as bad as you say.

I didn't like the 4-second zombie attack clip after the first 2 times either, but when you pass that part, they don't come back.

Yea, the inventory and merchant system aren't as cool or aesthetic as RE4, but it does the same job. Lighten up man!

It's not RE5's fault you suck at playing it. You're only up to the first chapter, start it again on easy FFS.

: / I don't really understand how it can be that when I managed Resi 4 just fine, never even went near its easy mode. Its just....crap. After having played Uncharted all this week, the bottom line is that Resi 5 feels firmly outdated in comparison; Uncharted's aiming was smooth and quick, (and fun), its graphics superb. I know they aren't exactly the same genre but they're pretty comparable. It feels like ten steps backwards. And geez, Sheva, get away from the big cloaked man with the axe will you, he's murdering you luv and its trying my patience.

Im having great fun and I dont have any problems with the things you said. I like the coop mode perfectly maybe it has to do with bad view, dont know how old are you.
Anyway, the game is hard, not that hard though, you will die a couple times and surely get frustated but when you beat it you feel great. Sound, graphics, voiceacting are great and controls work very fast when you get the timing, its a bit like MGS4, when you get the controls the game turns more faster and you dont do silly stuff.
I think the problem is you and not the game.

Two friendly tips :

1. RE5 has multiple control types, one of which is completely identical to RE4. Did you try it?

2. There is indeed an option to change the difficulty in the main menu. You just have to restart the current subchapter.

Not to sound like I'm bragging or anything, as many people have likely done better than this, but I'm on Chapter 5-2 on Veteran, having only played by myself, and I've only died about 20-30 times. I'm not saying you're necessarily doing anything wrong, but I've died around the same amount of times in this game as I did by an equivalent point in RE4.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

I just can't stand the controls on the game. Can't they make it scary without taking away all the player control so that it feels like the fights are happening in slow motion? Really, what kind of scary zomebie dude just stare's at you while slowly walking towards you. I know they can run, I've seen them, but when they get close they like to stop running and start strolling. They need to make the controls more gears of warish, but still be able to scare the living crap out of ya. Is that too much to ask?

I agree.
RE5 is trash..

you have a right to ur own opinion so im not going to bash u

the game would of been a high 9 game for me if u it was just u playing as chris and no ai partner and a uncharted like save system i don't like a game saving for me wen it wants

i have it on veteran and i dont see it to be to difficult im looking forward to playing it on the unlockable pro difficulty

u can take ur time to read the history in the library option i like fast loading times

the game is a solid 8 game for me now but i not even half way through it so it could raise or lower for me

so the controls can be changed to a better system?

I still don't get why so many people are complaining about Sheva AI.
So far I only found two areas where it was a pain and I have been playing solo all the time :
1) fight vs Wesker/Jill, she sometime makes herself opened to Jill's shot before the cutscene and take a crap load of damage in veteran mode
2) Final Uroboros fight on the boat, she's actually the one using the laser thingy but each time I get hurt she comes to heal me and drop it and I have to tell her to pick it back ( godamn woman I told you to use it so F***ING use it)

On veteran mode I have Sheva using infinite ammo AK-74 and until we get to chapter 5 and shooting enemies she can pretty much solo everything except mini bosses ( chapter 1.1 I actually tested, if I kill the executionneer she can kill everything else lol).
