Looks impressive for a DS game.

I think I'm the only one impressed they've made a game that looks good, has nice 3D models, and doing it on a handheld not even as powerful as the N64. I mean the game is keeping to the Kingdom Hearts feel

It's more powerful. The processors have slow clock speed. That and onscreen polygon count are the only things less. The clock speed was largely in place of efficiency with the N64, while the DS uses highly efficient processors. The N64 also had RAM that was not that good for gaming (but ironically is great for FMVs, and the PS2 and PS3 use versions of it), while the DS uses RAM that is again more efficient. The DS even had a miniscule texture buffer, only 4KB. Even for the 5th gen that was puny. The DS uses 512KB of texture memory for each screen.

Kingdom Hearts without the crisp, clean visuals...

Call me a graphics whore, but that's just not appealing at all.

I recommend people complaining about the graphics to visit gametrailers.com and watch some not-resized trailers of the game.

Let's look at the facts. The gametrailers screen is 480x360. One DS screen is 256x192. The gametrailers video is highly compressed, as all the artifacts show. The DS clearly would not do that unless it was an FMV, and the DS has a better codec than that.

The play screen is still compressed, but the size is closer to actual size (probably is, just cropped).

I can't wait for this game to come out. Glad to see some new heartless being fought.
