The Gamecube had a Port of a PS1 title, and claimed that as great Third Party support. When the PS3 is forced to do the same, then you can compare them.

I owned close to 80 games for the GameCube.

You probablly just fell into the PS2 hype at the time and bought that for toy story graphics and a DVD player.

For today's standards, the PS3 is obviously better. But the GameCube was better for it's time than the PS3 is for today.

I'll give the PS3 credit, though, it's FAR better than the PS2 and Xbox were.

I brought the PS2 slimline in early 2006......after getting dreadfully bored of the GC n not being able to play my favorite PS1 franchises....

you couldn't blame me for buying a gamecube though....I was only 11 + was in love with pokemon

Yes because the Gamecube won a huge format war. You should see my huge collection of Mini DvD's.

Bluray started outselling DVD? Thats the real format war, along with digital sales.

But I'd say the GC didn't do too bad since it was never meant to be anything more than a game console, not a trojan horse or media center.
