The cheaper version, instantly. There is no difference besides BC. Who really fills up 60gbs on a videogame console?

Also, dropping BC made the console worse, worse, worse.

I've used up about 140 gb of space on my 320gb ps3, I think I'm crazy now.

I have to do a lot of managing. I only got like 3 GB left.

If BC had to be sacrificed in order to make a $300 PS3 a reality sooner rather than too late, then I'm all up for it. People want to make the jump to a new generation to play the new HD games, not keep playing the same old ones. If anyone cares so much about playing an old gen system, there's still PS2 available in any all shapes, forms and sizes and prices.

id get the 60 GB one. It has alot more USB ports and all the options and then i could throw in a 250 GB HDD

The 80Gb model I play has all 4 usb ports and the memory card reader. It also has BC, but I'm not sure it's true BC or emulation.

They must have revised the 80Gb model since my brother and I got it for Christmas 2 years ago.

I don't know why people tell me to get a life. I'm a gamer, I have lots of lives!

Pretty sure the 80GB models have software emulation.

Person 1: Does Valkyria Chronicles have trophies?
Person 2:  No.
Person 1: Forget it. I'm not buying it.
Person 2: Wait! It's amazing! Unique, charming, drop dead gorgeous... Hello?

These are one of the instances where early adopters don't get hit by shit in the face.

ex..

Early PSP adopters. Big and chunky, Loadddding time so slow....

I would agree with you if I thought that was true, but I have never believe that software-based backwards compatibility was kept out for the sake of making the PS3 cheaper. That doesn't make sense.
