Hmmmm...the Wii version of NCAA 09 must have done really poorly to get skipped this year.

Still this announcement comes as a complete shock. I was hoping and praying EA would once again make a sequel to the NCAA Football series and here it is! I wonder what other surprises EA has this year. Maybe a new Madden? Possibly an NBA Live title?

Possibly.

Will an "All-Play" Wii version be announced later.

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Check out MyAnimeList and my Game Collection. Owner of the 5 millionth post.

So it goes from 09 to 10. I do think Ea sports game will continue to get better as the NHL series is fantastic and the Madden series keeps getting better. Will be interested if they keep the all-play schemes for wii

Above I'm a proud Gran Turismo fan, not a Sony fanboy, and now a proud 360 owner, but sharing xbox live accts ATM

End of 2009 Predictions (made Jan 1, 2009): My predictions were pretty accurate, the 360 was over and the Wii was just under.

Wii: 65 mil (yea I'm crazy) 360: 35 mil (its getting there) PS3: 30 mil (the slim better do well)

End of 2010 Predictions (made Jan 7, 2010):

Wii: 81 mil  360: 47 mil PS3: 45 mil

Ouch at no Wii version. I've always liked NCAA over Madden...I hope this one turns out good.

I need to buy a new NCAA some time...Madden too - I'm still playing the first ones they made for the 360 (Madden 06, NCAA 07).

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

wow thats crazy that there still bothering to make a PS2 version. There must be alot of sports fans that havnt climbed onboard the 7th generation yet

Long Live SHIO!

No probably not.  And its really not surprising.  There was no brand tied with the Nintendo consoles to begin with considering the last NCAA game to hit a Nintendo console was on the gamecube on the 2005 edition.  Kind of hard to keep it up 4 editions later.

And then of course that NCAA game on Wii was pretty much marked and made to be different from the others and in a bad way considering it was a half assed "different' version.  So no brand and bad separation equaled awful sales.  And can't say I'm sad to see it not be on there.  Wii owners will be just find with the Madden on Wii because at least time is spent  making those.

I mean I'm sure some will be sad but they can just buy it on the other consoles.  If they aren't goign to make it properly on the Wii then I'm glad they chose to not make it at all.

But still doesn't affect me at all because for the msot part I don't buy sports simulators.

Seriously.  I think we can all rest a little easier now.

"In the interest of providing our consumers with the best possible college football experience, we are currently evaluating our approach to the NCAA Football franchise on the Wii," said an EA Tiburon rep when contacted by Blend Games. "As such, we will not be releasing an NCAA Football title in 2009 for the Wii."
