R2 did have big hype, but was launched at the same time as CoD WaW and after MW, it stood no chance.

Uncharted is more unique, so will do better with all the competition

@ slimebeast, yeah, sleath elements, more seamless gunplay/traversal gameplay, a greater range of environments, and I am sure ND will throw some more things for us in there

i thought drakes fortune was a great game.....a really entertaining game to play and witty....

but i guess it depends what type of gsmes you like......for example although i'll play killzone 2 i have not bought it yet....

but i will buy uncharted 2.....pretty much day 1/2 as i did with GTA IV and will be doing with heavy rain and the new team ICO/SOC game whatever it is....

but obviously alot of others get the major FPS straight away.....

i'm looking forward to drake 2....

Uncharted sold due to it being one of the first good exclusives on the ps3, but people didnt know much about it except for it being an adventure game. But after people played it they LOVED the story. And the memory of that story is what is going to make Uncharted 2 sell more then the first game. People want to know what adventures Drake is heading into next.

i think it will do the same if not better. uncharted 1 was not really advertised and shown off imo but a lot of people of played it and all that now. so if sony makes sure everyone knows when uncharted 2 is coming they will surely go buy it.

I think Uncharted was such a great game, while Resistance and Motorstorm were good games for a system that had nothing - meaning most of people that bought Uncharted will be interested in the sequel, while for Resistance and Motorstorm people may have had enough. It also different enough from other shooters to not have much taken away from it, i.e you can buy Modern Warfare 2 and Uncharted 2, and feel like you bought 2 completely different games, as oppose to Resistance 2 and World at War, where it may feel like you bought 2 of the same game.

I am sure UDF is a great game believe me I am waiting for the Greatest Hits to come NA side and I will immediately pick it up (along with Ratchet & Clank and Heavenly Sward if they become GH also), but I think R: FOM, Motorstorm and UDF benefited from the lack of good games at that time and that’s way the sold so well I mean look at R2 and Motorstorm: PR

Look at it like this if KZ2, GT5 and GOW III all launched with the PS3 I highly doubt that the games mentioned would sell like they did

I’m not gonna predicted if’s gonna outsell the first one or not I just know obviously it’s going to have a much better first week sales that’s for sure

Uncharted was an awesome game, not just a game to wow your friends with. Uncharted 2 shouldn't have any problem beating the first one in sales imo. (especially if the add multiplayer....)

I hardly think it will do worse than Uncharted it had really bad first week but with good legs and so will Uncharted 2 but with better first week.
