Ya know, I have to wonder how Killzone: Liberation would've sold if it had come out after Killzone 2.  The brand recognition probably could've propelled it over a million, much like God of War.

Hope you can beat the horrible SP quickly and sell it for a true sequel (KZ2).

It's amazing the total opposite nature of both games.

KZ2: Good sequel to horrible first game

  The story line in Resistance 2 is good.  Its just you actually have to read te intelligence you get to actually understand things.  In the first resistance it wasnt like that, because they kinda narrated it during the videos and stuff.  But in 2 its more or less just you go around figureing things out yourself.  If you read th intelligence you learn why and what certain things are and why you go to certain places.  It brings the story to life.  Of course I can't believe no one thought to actually READ during a video game.  hahahahahaha

I agree . If anything the storyline was the most interesting.

I loved R2 and I couldnt understand the Hate behind it.

It's a good game. I like R1's single-player more personally, but all the multi-player improvments make up for that.

Richard - This may be the best thread on VGC this week. It includes great information about some of my favorite games Killzone Liberation, Killzone 2, Resistance 1 and Resistance 2. I think the sp in Resistance 2 is really good, but not great. It provides a lot of additional information and really seems to setup some great story lines for Resistance 3. I agree with Kyliedog about the regenerative health and lack of weapon wheel. Those were my only disappointments with the game. I know these are de facto standards for fps's, but Insomniac created some great weapons, I just want to carry them all.

As mentioned previously, R2 has a great online coop. Both it and L4D were my favorite online games last year.

By the way, I just picked up Resistance Retribution. Can't wait to play it.

I can't add much that hasn't been said already. The story was decent, and presentation was good but they made the game into a cookie cutter FPS, while trying to maintain some of the Resistance flavor and it came out a mess. They should've stuck to their guns so to speak instead of make a poor man's COD with aliens. The ending was great, but it was a complete chore to play. The co-op was fun for a while though.
