hmm i put those figures in the machine and i come up with something different. In my figures the PS3 is nowhere near the PS2 numbers in others for the same period.
The PS3 was released to others on nov 11th 2006. So that means in others PS3 has been on sale for 856 days in others. With a total sold of 10.066m consoles.
PS2 was released to others on 24th nov 2000. So if we then go 856 days from that date brings us to 15th march 2003. Which = 14.728m units sold.
Meaning for the same period of time being on sales the PS2 sold 4.662m more units then the PS3. Or 46% more.
So would be interesting to hear how you came to those pretty exagerated numbers? Nearly 50% out.
(gratz PS3 though, i am 1 of the "others" making up the 10m))
EDIT
The PS2 reached the 10m mark on 19th oct 2002 in others. Meaning it took the PS2 693 days to reach the 10m mark.
The PS3 reached the 10m mark on 856 days.
Meaning PS3 took 163 more days to reach the mark then the PS2. Or 23 weeks......
Im sure some of you guys just make shit up half the time

The PS3 was released in a couple little places before March 23rd of 2007 or like you said on November 11th of 2006 but the majority of PAL was on March 23rd of 2007 (the PS3 release dates were scattered quite a bit), I know this doesn't sound fair since you seem to be quite upset but I did this to the other consoles not just PS3. I only started adding the dates from when it had it's big release to everywhere in PAL. So from March 23rd of 2007 (when the main releases in PAL started) till March 14th 2009 is just under 2 years.
