I started this thread really late and haven't had a chance to read all the answers. But for me the first game I thought sucked was E.T. for the Atari 2600. That was really a horrible game and one of the reasons that caused the entire atari console to crash and burn.

I guess that shows my age a little.

I think my judgment of game quality started when I realized that Banjo Tooie was better than Banjo Kazooie. Not that either one sucked. However the first game I played that I thought absolutely reeked was Spider-man the movie for GCN.
