Some people are saying Nintendo's E3 2008 was worse. Well, let me tell you, I was there for both and it was neither worse nor better. All they did was not announce games some people wanted, but their presentation was justified. The problem is it was very uneventful and neutral.

E3 2006 was just fun, even for some Sony fans which I was at the time, there was an element of fun to it. Of course I was pleased to see Nintendo getting so much attention, but I loved that Sony was so arrogant about copying Nintendo's controller and watching that backfire so elegantly was just amazing. E308, even for a so-called HD proponent, was no moment to savor exactly. It was more of the same.

E3 2006 was a total change, a reversal of the entire gaming landscape in a matter of days. That hadn't to do with just Sony. E308 had nothing on that, at all.

That Sony one was bad, but at least some funny material came out of it. Nintendo 08 should be shown as a form of capital punishment

Except that the Sony one was not trying to be funny like that. Which makes it even better. Nintendo had a bad conference in 2008, but with it they still sold tons of games and wiis. And even then, all they did was not announce things. Sony totally imploded in 2006. Real time weapon change, historical giant enemy crabs, 599 Us dollars? The stupidity was legendary and why it is still talked about today.

2006 is why the ps3 is in third, it is still a part of why it is still selling so low, and is a part of why it will continue to fail. I mean, if my friend who hates microsoft with a passion sold his ps3 to buy a 360 you know something is wrong. That's ok, Sony can still get its head out of its ass and make something other than generic shooters and ONE platform game maybe they can win back some marketshare (because the fps crowd is on the 360, they need to steal away some other genere). A pricedrop could do it, but the company has gotten itself into such a shitty financial position that it can't really afford to do one. Its almost like a case study textbooks will have in the future of how to destroy the market for a brand.

Plainly put, Sony is in a shitty position, the ps3 is a collosal failure of what the company expected and will be for some time.

Why would anyone waste this much time on such a worthless post. I didn't even get a chuckle out of it. Some people have too much time on their hands. It's time to get a job or go play your video game system you keep bragging about. Hanging out on VGChartz or on the web all day isn't a life.

We should just make a thread that covers any and all hilarious E3 videos. I will admit that Nintendo one that was just posted made me laugh a lot.

My favorite one is still Sony in 06, there was a specific youtube video that I thought was the best. I'll see if I can find it....

Sony still didn't copy the wii mote, the fact that people dont' understand this is .. incredible. You really think they would make the sixaxis in 1 fucking day ?

They'd been working on motion technology for years, they had the eyetoy and they even had a patient for a motion device similar to the wii filed in 2004.

The sixaxis was in no more way a rip off of the wii mote than the wii mote was of the eye toy. Only similarity is that both are able to register motion to the device.

How many people you think post here from their job? Its not a website that is usually blocked by employers.
