From all the pokemon in Platinum why did you need to select Giratina? yeah is the one in the cover but that's it.

Because Giratina is amazing and Lucario is overrated.

Giratina is an awesome wall in ubers. One of the few pokemon that can stop the most dangerous Arceus moveset, in fact. Being completely immune to extremespeed has never been more important...I think Scizor is the pokemon that competitively gained the most spotlight (due to bullet punch) but I do still love using Giratina for the rare battle I have in ubers.

Sure...though I usually lurk more than I post. Maybe joining will change that, at least for a while.

This topic reminded me that I need to start up my copy of Platinum again...I haven't played anything pokemon related for a while so it should feel fresh enough now.

Do I have to regard Giratina as the best Pokemon ever? Because while I like it, right now I'm mostly awed by Scizor, who has design-wise always been one of my favorites, finally getting the spotlight in the metagame. Just wondering if that will conflict with this guild (as I said, I still think Giratina is awesome, just not the center of my attention at this very moment).

As far as I'm concerned, if you like Giratina, you can join.. also, you learn pretty much everyday so that's pretty active imo.
