Why would they include Metal Gear? I'm a huge Metal Gear fan but the NES version was pretty bad, Kojima even called it "complete garbage".

sucks now, but at the time, it did some pretty neat stuff

Last year's game of the year turned out to be Silent Hill : Shattered Memories (online GOTY was COD 6). This year's GOTY leader to me is Heavy Rain.

No, it didn't. It wasn't even Metal Gear.

Metal Gear came out on the MSX. Then someone remade it for NES. They are two completely different games and the two Metal Gears on the NES are as Hideo Kojima said, "complete garbage."

I clicked the site before I saw it.

And it's only ten games. You can't include everything.

Also, there's a typo. Rush is Mega Man's dog sidekick. Rol isn't even in the game. That's Roll, his sister. Rol is a user here.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Yea, the list is a little awkward. I don't even think I even heard of The Guardian Legend. I did enjoy R.C. Pro Am a lot though back in the day. Super Mario Bros should have been higher especially with the games they have listed.
