I don't even know if a Sly Cooper will ever come out, but if it did, I doubt it would be very well received. It doesn't seem like a game PS3 owners would want (anymore).

It would probably fare better on the PSP.

Really? Was Ratchets both iterations not well received? Was LBP not well received? Seems to me that this sort of game suits the PS3's casual audience very well.

Ratchet and Little Big Planet have nothing to do with Sly Cooper. Although they all feature light-hearted presentation, they are all in different positions when it comes to how they are viewed by the gaming populace.

Explain this difference, please. If you're saying that the series is less popular than other platformers, then I'd agree with you. It likely won't sell a million on the PS3. Otherwise, I don't know what you're trying to say.

Yes, the series is less popualar than the others and has a risk of going lower in popularity.

I didn't want to HAVE to do this, but we all know LBP was hyped to EXTREMELY high levels, and Ratchet and Clank have seen several entries in the series this gen. Ratchet on the PSP sold a good amount during the preceding holidays too.

Sly Cooper (in my opinion, MY OPINION) just would attract in the same manner, and would come as an afterthought among the rest of Sony's standout titles. It is cel-shaded or cartoonish correct. All I know is, the character have a cartoon look, and I don't see anything on any system that has succeeded towards the million range with such a look.

All I have is Valkyria Chronicles, Zack & Wiki, and No More Heroes to look at, but that brings up a whole other issue, so I'll leave things at that.

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

It would imagine a new Sly game would only sell in the region of 500k-1million on the PS3.

I like the fact that Sucker Punch are broadening their horizons, I hope Infamous is well recieved. It has the chance to become their new main franchise if things go well.

The series has never been that popular. It would do even worse on PSP. Size Matters was bundled on PSP throughout the holidays, explaining the large boost (It still sold well).

Ratchet and Clank - over 1.5m

LBP - Over 2m

I don't see your point. Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction was the first one released this gen, your reasoning doesn't make any sense. This alone proves that a game won't fail just because of having a "cartoon look".

Sly Cooper is cel-shaded. As far as I know, that has always been a sales hindrance.

i disagree sly cooper was fun back on the PS2. Id buy it

Long Live SHIO!

Ratchet and clank by name is much much bigger than sly the cooper. Even on the wii, Ratchet would destroy sly. LBP was heavily bundled the same way killzone 2 and MGS 4 was. Its hard to say how they would have sold without the bundles.

I enjoyed playing the Sly games. My little bro and sisters always begged me to hook it up for them. For the time, the graphics were quite charming. Still are really.

I'd buy a PS3 Sly game.

Person 1: Does Valkyria Chronicles have trophies?
Person 2:  No.
Person 1: Forget it. I'm not buying it.
Person 2: Wait! It's amazing! Unique, charming, drop dead gorgeous... Hello?

Still pushing that heavily bundled bullshit? One might wonder why you would even come into the Sony forums.
