I simply didn't like the battle system. That's all there is to it for me. I would have perfectly fine playing it if it were turn-based instead.

Forgive me. I was generalizing, and no, my implications certainly don't extend to everyone. Again, sometimes, generalizing is necessary when facing an overwhelming number of voices.

7, but Im not hating 12, I liked it a lot, it was great it just didnt have the appeal the others had. Even with this its better than most RPGs there is.

I'll go with 7. Not saying 12 is bad or anything else. Just saying that thinking about it currently, I prefer 7. And just for the fun of knowledge, I'm currently playing 8.
