Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.

I just remembered that my dad owed me $22, so I went out and bought Sonic &TBK. I must say, It's suprisingly REALLY good... and I've only beaten 5 missions... It is way too easy though (Like Sonic The Hedgehog 2 was for 1/2 of the game), but it is more than fast enough for me. I think I might like this game better than Unleashed...

Thank You all :D

No, Instead you should wait for Sonic and the Magic Wings(Sonic can FLY!? Jk there's no such game)

Secret Rings > Black Knight > Unleashed

Rent it if you liked the other two Sonic Wii games. You'll probably like it. Be warned that it's short and easy, but also take into account the online features and incredibly high replay value.

Already got it, thanks though... That order is close, but SATBK and SATSR are both a matter of preference... I like them about the same, but they are both better than unleashed The reviews say otherwise, unfortunately...

But it they'd just made the boss fights/duels harder, and made it more linear, (All of the extra missions come after the ending and final stage, making the actual story much shorter and less rewarding), and make the homing attack still kill people, then SATBK would probably have been the better game...

Unfortunately, that didn't happen... But to me, SATSR was near perfection, and just rough around the edges... it just lacked a little sophistication (no path choosing), and the camera's ability to look back while you backed up (I just always applied the skill that made you have fire on your feet when you jumped backwards to make myself less vulnerable, but it was still slightly annoying)

The sophistication is about the same in SATBK. You can choose paths to a small extent and combo your attacks instead of just Homing attack or jump+1... but the slashing (AKA a wiimote shake) has to end your "combo", in order to kill your opponent, and the special moves (aka speed break and time break), have been dumbed down (if there are enemies around, one move happens, and if they are gone, basically a speed break occurs. There is a little more strategy, but in general, because your enemies are cloaked in armor, the slashing limits your possibilities...

The camera is a bit more zoomed out than unleashed, which helps a little, and the "identifying" system is great. Also, the additional playable characters made the game MUCH more fun... but i do miss skill rings, which made the game more on-the-fly customizable...

I just think that after the reviewers got used to the ultra-mind-nimbingly-fast speed that was in Sonic Unleashed, they forgot about how fast and good SATSR/The sonic book series was/is and how it brought speed back to the series... I mean, don't get me wrong, I loved the daytime levels in Sonic Unleashed, but for some reason, the style of SATSR/SATBK (more behind the back, Less about Right+Boost = win w/ some jumps, and less about falling off of the edge, and a less goofy/kiddy and slightly more serious story... I'm all for nostalgia, but SATSR/BK seems more natural to me...

Keep in mind I haven't even got close to finishing unleashed as of yet...

But yeah, I'm glad I bought the game, and it's a great addition to the series... BTW, the moral theme at the end of SATBK is actually a pretty good one, imo...

Wow, so this is where my video ended up. XD Glad it was useful. I beat the game. Its pretty easy. But I hated it. 2 hours of my life, and my friend's life gone.

And did I read correctly? Is that a Sonic Support Squad?!?!?! LOL WTF. Does he really require one? Or is it even possible to support him?

LoL, u were the one who made that video?  How did u find this site?  Also, i don't think ur video was useful, cause the dude ended up getting the game  :p

Yeah, I'm the one that made the video. I dont even know why he even asked. He was going to get it anyway regardless of the many negative reviews. It was quite obvious from his post that he was going to get it anyway, talkin about Sonic Support Squad and shit. #1 and #2 on his first post JUST SCREAMS "IMA GIT DIS GAYM ANEWAY!"

And I seldom visit this site for statistics and such, but never ventured on the forums. I found out about this topic because its listed in the sites linking to my video tab on the video's page. I found some rather 'interesting' sites have an interest in my videos...very weird ones too....

rent it, don't buy it, make sure you beat the actual game though, they made it kinda 2 part.

edit: my arm pretty much broke after beating the game, without the satisfaction i'd usually get using such motions, not to mention i had to do it for hours, i was major pissed.

@blackbustercritic

Did you like Secret Rings? It seemed from the video that you didn't... I actually enjoyed the game... a lot. Some of the extra levels are very hard... and I like playing some of the levels over again... I wasn't sure if I was going to buy it. I was considering just buying MadWorld first... and waiting until it was on a sale used... however, these others have convinced me otherwise.

Your video made me think the game was Sonic '06 bad (which it isn't)... SATBK was better than Unleashed, IMO. I was waiting on second opinions from people who liked Secret rings as I did, and I got some... Anyways, I got the game... Your 1st-training-level waggle-fest made me think hard about it though...
