just another person that doesn't understand why the 360 is selling better than the PS3, or heck why Wii is selling so good.

just rambling on about nonsense trying to sound smart, when you know all game reviewers and game media thinks PS3 is the second coming with how praised their games get and how 2008 had the best games on that system and so on.

why do they keep writing these articles trying to guess. You guys obviously don't understand that the average person is nothing like us.

heck where was the articles wondering how with 130 million PS2's that these amazing 9+ games on the system move 2-3 million copies. If a well established 5 million or so. and only a couple 15 million. I mean shouldn't they be wondering why the games they think are the holy grail of the system only selling to around 2% of the population of the system. And they think this casual market is new to the Wii gen, ha yea right.

Microsoft biggest 2 exlcusive franchises are Halo and Gears of War.  Gears of War is owned/controlled by Epic and it is all but certain to go multiplatform in future installments. 

I agree that Sony was able to stockpile franchises over the last 15 years, but just look at this generation.  Sony has developed new IP that will have sequels for years to come, Motorstorm, Resistance, Uncharted, and inFamous.  What new franchises have MS given us, Too Human?

In terms of exclusive titles, 2006 and 2007 were clearly in MS's favor, and so it should be since it is an older platform.  But you could make a strong argument that 2008 is in Sony's favor, at least a tie.  GT5p/MGS4/Resistance 2/Motorstorm 2 compared to Fable 2/Gears of War 2/L4D (MS only controls 1 of these franchises.

In terms of announced 2009 titles, Sony's catalog looks to be far superior to MS's.  We will see how the year shapes up, but either MS has become very good at concealing its game release schedule or they are going to let the success of 2009 ride on exclusive DLC releases.

Just because one console (say the 360) has less than the other console (say PS3) in a certain area (say franchises) doesn't mean it doesn't have any.

The 360 has Halo (duh), Gears of War, Fable, Too Human (If you can say Heavenly Sword, I'm allow to say Too Human), Forza, Banjo Kazooie, Conker, Perfect Dark as well as others. Just because YOU in particular can't list them, doesn't mean they don't exist.

I'm not even going to touch the PS3 lacks exclusives comment, that only tells you nothing in this article should be taken seriously.

This just in - Sony has more 1st party studios than MS, and these studios produce games with a higher metacritic average.
