Forums - Nintendo - Golden Wii Wheel

I just received my Golden Wii Wheel (a 2008 Club Nintendo Japan platinum members gift) from Nintendo,
and thought some of you might like to see some photos.

First, the front of the box:

Next, the back of the box:

The content of the box (wheel, brown paperwork thingy, instruction manual):

So, what is that curious little, brown, paperwork thingy, you ask?

Well, it is a special stand for displaying the Golden Wii Wheel, of course!

lol, awesome.

they should only allow you to get that if you have 100% wii wheel in MKWii

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Damn I want that.. So shiny! Plus I have 100% Wii Wheel usage :P

Well, the point system for Club Nintendo (Japan) actually uses two separate systems. When a member gains points for registering a product (for example, 30 points for a game of 5,250 yen or more), those 30 points are added to both a "savings" account and a "ranking" account.

Members can trade in points from their "savings" accounts at any time for a variety of gifts that are available all year. These gifts include things like playing cards, stationary sets, DS cases, etc.

The points accumulated in a "ranking" account are not traded in; rather, they determine the level of membership in Club Nintendo. 200 points or lower is the "normal" ranking, 200 to 399 is the "gold" ranking, and 400 and above is the "platinum" ranking. Since I had accumulated more than 400 points during fiscal year 2008, I was eligible to select from a few (three, I believe) special end-of-the-year "platinum member" gifts. I don't remember what the other choices were, but the Golden Wii Wheel was clearly the best choice.

But does it make you better at the game?
