If they actually knew eachother, his looks shouldn't matter at all.
If a random whore starts hittin on a guy that looks like shit, then I wouldn't wanna know how many times she's done that. Of course not sayin the OP probably looked horrible, but just sayin - it makes more sense for a girl to ignore stuff like the 3-day shower part if she knows you personally.

BUT, she obviously isn't that interested in the other guy if she is going around making out with people.
I would recommend just leaving it alone, but you are probably in a pretty good position to move forward. Just tell her that you will be with her if she breaks up with him. She sounds like she just wants a push. Don't get involved in some complicated behind-his-back kind of thing.
And for future reference, people who cheat on people are a lot more likely to cheat on you too.
