Forums - Sales - Wii and X360 will reach console sales miestones in same week.

5 weeks time I have calculated based on recent weekly average sales figures. Wii will reach 50 million and X360 will reach 30 million in the exact same sales week.

Calculations are as follows:

Wii ~ 48 million.  2 million / 5 = 400 000 per week. 48 million + 2 million = 50 million.

X360 ~ 29.1 million.  0.9 million/5 = 180 000 per week. 29.10 million + 0.9million = 30 million.

So who agrees with this prediction? Wii and X360 reach their console sales milestones in same week again.

Wii reached 40 million when X360 notched 25 million and Wii reached 30 million when X360 notched 20 million.

@OP, Interesting how that works out. It can't be coindence, can it? Like, hitting milestones within the same week? That's pretty rare. I can't see it happening once, and twice is astronomical. But here it is, happening to us right now.

Maybe something will mess with the numbers, japan has been looking pretty shakey for the wii lately.

Maybe the Wii euro price hike will slow it down somewhat(I highly doubt anything can slow it down at the moment but anything's possible in these cash -strapped times)...
Is the Wii price rise UK only or EU wide?

You kidding? M$ have already made that baby using the DNA of Nintendo's inbred cousin, Rare. Next gen. it will be some kind of mutant Xborarento super baby. It will have laser eyes, wiimote dexterity and the short life span of an RROD Blade Runner Replicant. It will be awesome for about 5 minutes.
