"The 360 only catered to the hardcore, and is now trying to get the casuals. Nintendo got the casuals, and doesn't give a **** about the hardcore. What happened to the dudes who got every game you put out in the GameCube days? Left em' to dry." - Beligerent Ranter Of Mine (former Nintendo loyalist....my friend)

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

It's an easy criticism to make but in fairness it was always going to be hard for Nintendo to cater to the traditional hardcore crowd with a new control system.  Sure they could have made a traditional controller too but this would have meant many people ignoring the wiimote and therefore would be even fewer titles developing a new input method.  Now developers are starting to find more uses for the new control system its still feasible that hardcore fans can be catered for.  I look on this period for the Wii as a stepping stone for the future, there will be "hardcore" titles further down the line.

Then do they keep releasing their franchises? every generation which by the way got good reviews and sales?

umm. no, you are really wrong.

since when were nitnendo's frnachises ever 'hardcore'? i mena if star fox assault was released on wii as a brand new IP people would and say that instead of GoW or resident evil nintendo made a game to appeal to the casual market and so filed it with animals

nintendo fanboy, but the good kind

Not to mention, didn't a lot of people complained the Gamecube didn't have enough games during the era?

Jesus, it's like once a console is old, it's suddenly amazing to everyone.

Nintendo caters to everyone, except the really hardcore "manhunt" type gamers.

IF anything, it's the third parties you need to worry about. Because Nintendo can't make 30 games per year, that's really pushing it.
