Forums - Microsoft - Time To Worry About The 2009 Xbox 360 Line-up?

Eh, I don't care as much. But maybe some people who have no job or family have time to play 120+ hours a week of Video Games have time for all these things? I mean seriously, my backlog is HUGE. So I'm for one thankful we aren't getting as many good games this year. My wallet hurts!

I'm getting the following from now until summer: Blaz Blue and the new KOF. I love fighting games because they are easy to jump into, and both are multiplatform.

Recently I got RE5 and SFIV. From XMas I got Left 4 Dead, Prince of Persia and Gears 2., The Orange Box and lastly Burnout Paradise. That's pletny of games to last me till Summer considering my huge back log. Exclusives aren't really doing it for me either, outside of Gears 2.



It's just that simple.

Wow is that list ever uninspiring. So the 360 owners should worry about here lineup, cause it sucks. I haven't heard of 90% of those games. The ones I have heard of aren't exactly standing out as must haves either

The PS3 list isn't that impressive either, because I think GT5 and GOW3 won't be out this year. (Probably same with ME2 on the 360)

Forza 3, Alan Wake, Halo 3 ODST, Mass Effect 2 and Splinter Cell Conviction are must haves. Keep living in your dreamworld.

       I'm not expecting Conviction to be in the same league with MGS4 just as Double Agent wasn't in the same league as Chaos Theory.

 

 

I have never liked the Forza series. It doesnt even come slose to GT series on Playstation. Alen Wake looks ok, as does Mass effect 2, but Halo has always sucked and Splinter Cell isnt as good as Socom. You are right about one thing though, I dont own a 360. It doesnt have any games that I want so why would I buy it?

 

      Just as much as I don't think Splinter Cell matches up to Metal Gear, I think the majority of Splinter Cell games are superior to the majority of SOCOM games.  And, even though Double Agent wasn't that great of a Splinter Cell game, I sure do hope the Conviction is better than the latest SOCOM.

If another 360 game was ever released after today it would still be an insanely fun console to play. This is coming from someone who does not own one.

Maybe Microsoft had the same thinking I did about when their next console was coming out and about the release date of a certain game, so they are surprised by their success and hadn't really planned out what they were bringing out this year.

      Not if we get some of those snazzy jrpgs by the end of the year.  I'm looking forward to Muramasa, the REs because I didn't get them on GCN, Kizuna, Fragile (Is it called Fracture or Fragil?  Whichever one it is it looks good), The Pikmin remake because I never played the original, Metroid Prime remake I didn't play much of the GCN version, Arc Rise Fantasia, and The Conduit, Tales of Ten, and whatever else is coming out

BTF, no.

They aren't Sony. They are taking the Nintendo route. Would you rather them spill the beans about every game coming out in the next 4 years, and then disappoint, or just wait till there's solid info, and give it out?

They're looking at how poor Sony is in hardware sales, and how well Nintendo is doing, and realizing that just because you wait to tell the consumer about a game doesn't mean your console will do worse. In the end, you'll just save PR costs and such.

      I think that Too Human and Ninja Gaiden II had been building up certain reputations since 2005 that they would be some kind of megagames in this gen and judging by the critical reception that both games received last year, maybe Microsoft learned something from that.

Ninja Gaiden was only officially announced 9 months before it came out, so I don't get how it was hyped since 2005.

The J man is very scared of the 360's line up and the shitness of it.

Every morning, the J man crys himself to sleep praying that the 360 will have a better line-up but it never happens.

It happened last year , with the 360 getting the most AAA games but THATS NOT ENOUGH because ps3 fanboys keep shoving the SAME list of SUPER AWESOME GAMES THAT ARE GUARANTEED AAA games that will appear in 2006...no..2007....no....2008.....no...2009!!!!!

I do not want a list showing a metacritic score for all xbox 360 games or all PS3 games but a list that only includes exclusives for either console for 2008.

Obviously there is no such list so why don't you take the effort to sift through the metacritic scores for both the 360 and ps3, and pick out the exclusives of each console that were released in 2008, and then comeback and show it to me, so you have evidence supporting your claim that metacritic disagrees.
