Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo is officialy on my naughty list

You should call them up again (or send them a message through their website) and perhaps fib a little saying that the previous rep treated you very poorly. Also, state that you were put on hold for a very long time for no reason. Perhaps, this will get the next rep to offer to fix it for free for you.  My Wii was having problems reading mainly Wii Sports (I thought it was only Wii Sports but it started affecting a few other games, I probably need to buy a Wii lens cleaner even though the problem has gone away for quite some time) and it got to the point where I was so upset I broke the Wii Sports disc in half.  I even stated to them what I did.  First time I called up they just told me I could buy another copy for like $20 or so from their website.  I then sent a message through their website stating how frustrated I was (blaming the disc not being able to play due to the cheap case they provided).  I got a call about 30 mins after I sent that message to them with a representative telling me he would send me a free disc due to my troubles.

every company is that way they dont care if your a loyal customer or not they just care bout making money.

Long Live SHIO!

Keep in mind that what your are asking is just not realistic.

No company is in business to give away product. Nintendo generally makes really good products, you obviously got the small % of defect. Unfortunately, it was past the actual warranty time frame. That is just how the world rapes you once in awhile.

If it were me, I would sell the broken model as is on Ebay for like $30. Then buy a new one with that money.

While there's no reason they should do it for you, I'd say to try calling back another time/another day. Try getting a different rep, see if you can't get someone to do it cheaper/free.

I was put on hold.... for a long time.  I assumed he was marveling at our extensive collection of Nintendo stuff, and had passed out from amazement

LOL... Can't tell if you're serious about this one.
