Forums - Nintendo - You'll buy it and You'll love it !

It looks like Nintendo has ripped a page out of Microsofts book . Charge the customer for something they dont need or something they never bargained for. I thought the Wii was supposed to be innovative and introduce new stuff to the world of gaming ! All this talk about this " Motion Plus" whatever nonsese is nothing new ! Nintendo is going to charge you for something you already have . When you bought the Wii you signed up for the Wiimote and now your being told "oh we're sorry we didnt make  the motion sensors that effecient the first time let us charge you X dollars more so you can get the best experience" So ironically your basically being told by Nintendo the games you play on our system suck unless you have our new and improved piece of shit AA batterie pack that you can stick on your Wiimote sucker !!! ......and it will sell.

I personally believe that every new Wii console manufactured  should include a Motion plus pack alongside the Wiimote ! Its every potential Wii owner's right.

Please all Nintendo fans this isnt an attack on you . I just wanted to point out the injustice.

Well, I guess if it's something the customers don't need, they won't buy it and thus won't be charged for it. I'd prefer to have the option of buying things rather than having them forced on me.

Actually, the gyroscopes used in Wii Motion Plus weren't available till 2007. Before then, they were too brittle, and too expensive for Nintendo's purposes.

At least, that's what I've read.

That's correct.

Former something....

Hatmoza is right to a limited extent but as already noted, Nintendo wanted to include the tech but the tech simply wasn't ready and would have priced the Wii out of the market. They did what they had to do. Now that they can sell the added tech for a reasonable price and offer me even better gameplay is a total bonus and I appreciate it.

However it wouldn't surprise me if Nintendo changed the Wii to include WM+ and WSR instead of WS prior to the holidays.

That, and, it would make sense if they bundle WM+ with new Wiis as well, along with WSR.

You're right. I will buy Wii Motion Plus and I will love it.

Your right I will buy it and love it! Even though this should of been packaged with the Wii from the beginning, just like how Wii Play sells like crazy, Wii Motion Plus will do the same with the packaged Wii Sports Resort!

Or maybe they didn't have the technology or money yet.

Take a lesson guys... if you ever have to include that last sentence in your posts in any way or form, then it's obvious you understand what your saying probably isn't put together in a well formed and respectful manner.  Guess the lights never go off hmm.

Despite the approach being put together poorly, I agree with the point.  Nintendo should include these in all Wii systems from now on and along with wiimotes.  Even that it should be further built into the wiimote.  However, you make more money when you do it this way so from a business perspective its better for Ninty to do it this way.
