Forums - Gaming - Resident EviL 5 Impression SPOILERS (very minor)

Ok I pre-ordered the game and it arrived today. So as soon as I got home I quickly popped the game into my PS3.

I started the game on veteren and got upto the chainsaw guy, the same one in the demo. So far the game has been good, not great like RE4 but it was good. Some things that I hated was that you cannot pause the game while searching the inventory. Also you can buy, sell and upgrade your stuff between chapters or when you die so there isnt anyone that actually sells you items like in RE4 you had the merchant, which I like alot better. I also like the idea of the oversized briefcase in RE4. That was a much better inventory.

Something else is that when you encounter enemies, you will usually encounter alot unless your in tight passage-ways. I would prefer stronger enemies but not so many of them at the same time. Another thing I hate is Sheva. She is so stupid. She always consistantly runs into danger and wastes all her ammo. And I end up using alot of herbs because of her. If I had a choice, I would definatly play this game alone.

Graphics are nice. Cutscenes are well done and voice acting is good. Gameplay is also good and enjoyable. The co-op is a nice feature but I dont care about that. For me, RE is all about playing alone.

Another point is that RE5 is not scary one bit. I didnt feel anything not even a slight scare. I remeber even though RE4 wasnt that scary I always felt some tension when exploring and there were quite a few scary moments.

Overall RE5 is good, a must for any RE fan but its not as good as RE4.

I 100% agree with your anylasis. Im just passed the bit where the big truck is driving towards you :)

It's kinda sad you don't like co-op because the game made a perfect use out of it. Easily an AAA game with a good friend.

Except for the GeoW series, RE5 is the best TPS co-op game.

I just beat Irwin in 3-3 that was an epic boss fight.

I didnt like 2-3 it felt like an on rail shooter, I yawned.

Getting it today or tomorrow with no remorse. I wish it were still scary, though.

No you unlock another difficulty called "Proffesional" after you complete the game. I hope the game gets scarier and Sheva is an annoying bitch.

so including Proffesional there are 3 or 4 difficulty levels?

yeah i kinda knew that would be the case with sheva hope RE6 theres just one character to go through the story at a time

oh yeah did u go to the PS HOME now that u have the game i think u can play the arcade machine in the RE5 space
