Forums - Sony - I need some PSN help...

Okay, so basically I had £3 leftover from Wipeout HD, and I accidentally put another £5 on my account trying to change my debit card info (how do you do that, anyway?), which means I have £8. Which is a useable amount!

So I'd like some advice, please, on some good little PSN games I can get for that cash. Metacritic reviews seem to vary wildly and be incosistent with PSN titles. In order to make it easier for people, my favourite genres are racing, platforming, third-person adventure (not fps) and management/theme park-style controllingthingsness.

A couple of things that caught my interest were Noby Noby Boy - I love We Love Katamari, it's one of my favourite games (and it's cheap enough to get a second game), Pixeljunk Monsters (what is that? Any good?) and maybe Theme Hospital (refer earlier to my love of Theme Park). Does anyone know what these are about/if they are any good?

Cheers.

EDIT: Can people give some constructive advice rather than just throwing out names of games...I don't really know anything about PSN games and came for some first-hand advice and reccommendations. Thanks :)

PixelJunk Eden!

or Flower?

Pixel Junk Monsters is a Tower Defense game...an above average one.

Crash Commando.

Noby Noby Boy is definitely not for everybody, but it's worth a shot if you're a fan of Takahashi's breed of insanity. And the price is right!

Also, I'd recommend giving Flower a go. It's my GOTY so far. Again, not for everybody, but if you like artsy, meditative games, you'll probably love it.

As good and as pleasing Flower is to play, if you want something that is going to last then I wouldn't recommend...

that.. or flower if you like emotional and artistic experiences.

Well, I think that I'd like a more structured experience than Flower - is there nothing that stands out for the majority as 'the game to get' (Wipeout HD aside, obviously). I was hoping for an addictive little title or a light but replayable game. The PS3's 'World of Goo' if you will (except not necessarily a puzzle/stategy game). I hope this is making any sense.

I think you should check out pixeljunk monsters then... i don't know if you like tower defence games.. but it is one of the psn titles .. .and in particular the co-op and collecting of rainbows gives it great replay value.... in my opinion anyways :P
