I would've done the same to protect my child (if I had one now...) from stuff like this because I wouldn't want my children to be influenced or traumatized from seeing something look demonic. I can see what she's saying that the 'person' or 'entity' looks like. It looks like someone with a gas-mask on ready to cause a nuclear or biological warfare, in this case the mother might think it's a game on terrorism. Just look at it from a human perspective of what you see in our everyday lives and not in a video game. |
1: She should also have some form of respect for things she's unfamiliar with. No one should expect her to know who the Helghast are, but that doesn't give her the right to attack everything she's unfamiliar with. People like that can be bad for the world. I have a few friends that are quick to judge/criticize small things that they're never seen/heard and I find very stupid sometimes. Are your examples any different from dumbass people that think Obama is a terrorist from a Iraq with some plan to cause nuclear/biological warfare? I have a few friends that don't like him because of his color.
2: Though I can understand she's being protective, she has to keep in mind that the world wasn't made for her and her kid - when she goes walking down the street, she shouldn't expect to see a family-friendly city. She also definitely has to realize that she can't complain about everything she doesn't like. She will not win every case. I guess you and I are completely different on this part though.....if I ever had a kid, I wouldn't constantly shelter him from the world. You can't hide your children from things like this forever. It's only a matter of time before he's exposed to it all. What I would do is teach him what can and can't harm you. But, my ultimate goal would be for him to be able to look at somethin similar to a Helghast and not see it as "demonic", but instead as just another random face. I don't want a scared ignorant sheltered kid....I want a kid that'd become a smart man at an early age.
Never advertise in public spaces or some one will see it.
I guess the ad would be much better suited posted at a strip club, on a strippers rear end... of course.

only in america... for lots of reasons
here in portugal the few game spots in tv that i catch was two for LBP and one for Killzone 2 and that didnt make any diference because many of my friends have to be introduced to those and more games by me... in portugal most of us dont see portuguese TV ... we all have cable and see foreign channels also without games advertising ... we have to go online or to local store to know about games!
but if those posters would be post here nobody would complain because we have claudia viera in lingerie all over the place the max that happen was just 4456 car accidents (small price to pay)
