nana i am saying this is the pc version. so the 360 version will look worse. Most times the devs try to make up for meh gameplay with good graphics on the hd consoles. So most of the time if the graphics are ok that usually meens they aint put effert into it. meaning a crap game.

Or that the gameplay is so full of win, the merely okay-looking graphics don't matter!

Looks good, but in RPGs, it's about gameplay, not graphics, imho.

German games:

Gothic I / II / III

Crysis (!!!)

Anno (I am LOVING it!)

So there are some good games from Germany. Not as much as Japan / NA, but some promising projects.



Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

yes, it will be a Gothic 3 like game, but not because it's a german developer, but because it's the same damn developer that made Gothic 1-3

and that's why I'm excited for the game, for Gothic 1+2 were exactly what I want from an RPG -> good story with superb characters, hard and satisfying gameplay and enough free roaming, which doesn't make you feel all lost and abandoned

 

btw at the other PS3 users in this thread that said "looks average" - a revenge foul is even more stupid than the initial offense (which is why in football it's an instant red card)

Gothic 3 got some bad scores, because JoWooD forced them to release an "unfinished" game with a lot of bugs. However with the patches now it's at least as great as the others.

It's just that I was a PC gamer for quite a long time and I've had my share of exposure to german developed games. 

Oh yeah, JoWooD. I remember that publisher. Is this being published by them too?

^ no, Piranha Bytes quit the relationship with JoWood directly after the Gothic 3 release desaster (which is why this game isn't Gothic 4 - the license to the Gothic franchise stayed with JoWood)

For those who don't know Risen (formerly Gofic series) and Two Worlds (sequel coming to X360/PC soon) are bad Oblivion clones.

But even bad Oblivion clones can be great games. ^^

Although I hope Risen will be a bit more polished than Two Worlds/Gofic 3. Looks great on these screenshots.
