what are you guys are talking about there piles of it everywhere.

Piles like that are shipped to a lot of stores weekly or bi-weekly.  Don't forget that when people were paying attention to shipments and taking numbers, stores were getting between 30-90 Wiis each and they'd sell out in a few hours or sometimes even before the store opened.

FYI -- gamestop/ebgames doesn't even seem to sell used Wiis online.  But you can buy plenty of used PS3s and 360s.

no they all still there, i went a week before get my eyes check up on the time take the picture, the i went  a week to pay part of my glasses and they were still there,

ai will post a picture again on saturday when i come pick up my new glasses i assure you they are going to be there  not as many but most of it will be there.

I honestly don't doubt that they are there and have been there for a while. Your profile says you are from panama. It seems like the only place left in the world that is heavily supply constrained is the US, as depending on where you are in the US it is hit or miss if you find them. I'm sure in the next couple months it'll probably level out to where it is easy to find around the world.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

yeah thats what i'm trying to say but the countries i been in the last year (costa rica, panama, colombia, US) only the US seems to have shortages . but i will get the picture just in case.

Just wait until Black Friday/Christmas you won't be seeing any Wiis in stores.

Honestly, I highly doubt it unless Nintendo supply constrains them this year. They will still outsell the PS3 and 360 but I don't see them selling as high as last year unless they reestablish a connection with hardcore gamers or find a way to bring in another audience. That's my opinion at least.

It's already selling at faster pace than last year.

I always see them in stock at my local gamestop, walmart, target and best buy.

  • 2010 MUST Haves: WKC, Heavy Rain, GoWIII, Fable III, Mass Effect 2, Bayonetta, Darksiders, FFXIII, Alan Wake, No More Heroes 2, Fragile Dreams: FRotM, Trinity: SoZ, BFBC2.
  • Older Need To Buys: Super Mario Bros. Wii, Mario Kart Wii, Deadspace, Demon's Souls, Uncharted 2.

There is definitely more to list that I want, but that's my main focus there.

you right

wii had its chance

2009 will be lower

I saw three Nintendo Wii's in my local Wal~Mart today.  I don't know if that is unusual for many of you.  But this is only the second time I've ever seen Wiis in my local Wal~Mart since they were released in November of 2006 and the first time that I'd seen them there since last July.  I didn't see any copies of Madworld there.

This is the year when my 1 million a month off holiday season Wii prediction pans out. I see my local Wal-Mart having more too, more often. Either launch fever has finally subsided or Nintendo has finally upped production & distribution of systems. NOW is the year when we see what Wii can do as a competitor. The World Recession/Depression will affect everything including Wii but for those who still have enough money for a Wii & want it, we will see how many of those folks exist in the year 2009.

2009, the year Wii begins to capture the "Hardcore" portion of the market is also the year Wii gets to TRULY show its potential as a gaming device. Once money becomes more available Wii should ride the rising tide. My 60 million for 2008 prediction failed sadly but Wii should be able to make the great inroads on the PS2's sales status that I have been forecasting since before the beginning of this generation.

3rd party better gamble right or bad bets could doom their future when the economy continues to crumble.

I do agree that there are Wii's everywhere, but I truly believe that what you took a picture of is indeed Wii boxes on display. They don't have that many Wii's. I remember going to a local Gamestop and actually asked them if they had any Wii's in stock and the dude response was no. But if you look in their window display I you could see 15 Wii boxes that were empty on display.

cool.

I saw dozens of used Nintendo Wii's at my local Gamestop last week.

cool.

I've seen you talk out of your ass dozens of times like this.

On topic.  I have seen Wii's recently at both Toys R Us and Best Buy.
