Forums - Nintendo - I saw Nintendo Wii's in my local Wal~Mart today.

Where I live in the midwest, I never see Wiis or Wii Fit's in stores.

As of a month ago, I have seen Wiis in stores every time I look for them. Target/Best Buy/ Costco all regularly have a lot of stock.

Wii is going to have so much stock this Christmas.

Price for the Christmas Season

Repent or be destroyed

I saw them at Walmart a few days ago too.

Nintendo still doomed?
Feel free to add me on 3DS or Switch! (PM me if you do ^-^)

I think I saw Wii Fit too today, but I'm not 100% sure.

It is hard to tell because Wi Fit boxes morph into the shapes of other boxes.... that's how Wii Fit has sold so many, people think they are buying Super Mario Galaxy, Metal Gear Solid, an Xbox 360 HDD add-on, bread, cheese etc.... except when they get it home it turns back into Wii Fit, which prompltly eats the receipt so you can't return it.

walmart takes anything back for cash. I'm going to start buying more bread

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

I think the Wii's price will still be around $250.00.  I feel Nintendo will try to get as much out of it as they can at that price for as long as they can.  I hope the US economy isn't so bad that they go up to $275.00 like the price increase in the UK, but I'm getting mine soon just in case.  I think Nintendo will release a Wii HD next year that might be able to put the Wii games out in 720p and / or that will have a harddrive, so that they can keep the price on the new model at $250.00 until the Wii 2 comes out in 2012 or 2014 (I think they might wait 'till 2014 to release Wii 2 as I think they will be able to bring out a system as powerful as the 720 will be at that time for a price similar to what the Wii has).  So, in 2010, I see the current Wii's price dropping to $200.00 and Wii HD's price being at $250 and Wii HD featuring extra features like I outlined above while still not being the actual Wii 2.  I just want to offer this as an opinion on the question asked but not get into a big there will or won't be a Wii HD discussion.

Heavens to Murgatoids.

i've only heard of the wii selling out here once. That was at christmas. Otherwise they are in stock everywhere.. have always been.

Check out my game about moles ^

Funny story. The wal-mart near me has basically never had a wii in stock (that i've seen) but the ps3's can warm the bench for nearly 3 months. I kept track of a certain ps3 box (it has a nice blue dot on it) and saw it went unsold for nearly 3 months :/.

Don't know how the 360 faired. that system probably sold a bit more than the ps3 but never went out of stock like the wii.

I saw 64 Wii at my Costco. Nintendo just made more Wii's so they wouldn't run out.
