I'll get them for sure. GC versions still sell for $20 here (each) so I'd sooner pay an extra $10 and get them on Wii, although I realize there isn't much difference, I'd rather not use my old GC controller.

The RE0 one already exists in Japan. Does it support widescreen?
If I remember correctly it uses the Wii remote but no IR or motion controls, so it's basically the same thing as the GC game.
My Mario Kart Wii friend code: 2707-1866-0957
I played the GC-Version of REmake, but I hated the controls for movement. Does anybody know, if they improved the movement controls? This would be a reason for me to rebuy the game on Wii.

It's not likely that Capcom would put them in Widescreen because of the pre-rendered backgrounds. It would mean they'd have to crop the environments or go back to the original source code and extend the visuals. However, this would likely be the only way to get me to personally buy them again.
I don't know, I love Resident Evil. I may find myself buying them again anyway.
It's a direct GC port, there's nothing new added. Visuals are still the same, even movies have the same compression. The only changes are that you can use the WiiMote + Nunchuck in the same way you used the GC controller. Controls exactly the same, but it costs way more. So better buy it used for the GC for 10 bucks or less.

Bets with Conegamer:
Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.
I have not played RE1 in 10+ years, and have never played RE Zero. I will probably get these when they are $20.
@Kylie: Buy a Wavebird. I bet there's some being sold at ebay or any game store, even if used. Wavebird is the best controller around.

So you've never played the REmake?!
You're in for a treat.
Zero kinda sucked though...
Its amazing isn't it Capcom. We are more interested in 10 yr old games with basically no new changes what so ever, no IR pointer control or anything.
“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.
can't wait, the only RE i've played is 4 and UC for Wii, and they were both awesome! : )
don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^
