Very Very worried about the future of the PS3 now.

I will still get one, but whichever way you look at it Sony was owned by an RTS. Realistically, there is no way PS3 will finish close to 360 this gen.

I don't think anyone believes the PS3 will overtake the 360 in America.

 

Now that's a different story, although I think Sony themselves should never have sent Resistance 2 out against Gears 2. BIG mistake :O

I guess Sony thought more R:FoM owners would buy R2, but FoM was bundled quite heavily. And, R2 had some serious competition from CoD 5.

My point is his point is moot. I could find a ton of games to compare with the 360 "legs" being better than the PS3's.

Not really surprising when you consider how poorly PS3 games sell... actually, its amazing the KZ2 did as well as it did.

 Okay...let's look at this step by step...

- I'm not sure why you are comparing ME to UC, but I'll assume it's due to the release timeframe, since action games on consoles, normally sell better than RPGs.  So ME sold 2.33 to Drake's 2.62, but they both started off mildly, and both had solid legs.  Considering that Drake bundled...I'm not sure where you are going with that?

- Dead Rising and Rachet...errr...I'm not sure why you are picking those title, since it wasn't widely accepted that Dead Rising was expect to be some top seller for the 360  to begin with.

- Lastly Fable 2 to LBP...errr...Fable 2 has as big a lead in comparative week ones, as it does now.  I think M$ should look to bundle some of these games to boost the sales numbers....oh wait...that's how you LOSE money.

So, wrt to the legs argument, please find better examples.

Does makes sense.  Of course you can also add that the bigger the userbase you have a greater chance of casual gamers.  Many casual gamers who bought and enjoyed Halo 3 probably made an uninformed Halo Wars purchase.  Not to say they didn't like the game.  It's just that it's not uncommon to buy a game mainly because of the namebrand without sufficient research.
