Forums - Nintendo - Tales of Ten: What are some things you would like to see in the game?

@G-Value

Vesperia's cast is just soooo solid. ToT would need to be nothing short of amazing to top it. I expect it to beat out Vesperia's story, though, because I'm expecting deeper and move developed villains. But man, Vesperia's cast is one of it's strongest points. Every thing went together so perfectly, and everyone expect Estelle is so fun to watch.

@Soriku: Eww, what is that Kratos has one? I like his Vesperia outfit better than that one, I'm afraid. Nothing beats Yuri's Dark Enforcer outfit, though.

It needs a fist-fight between the main character and his foil, controlled by waggle.

Once that is confirmed, I will buy the game for sure.

I like the color scheme better, but he doesn't have that sweet cape thingy anymore.

Is that outfit from a title you earn with him and he have any others?

I'm telling you if anyone can beat ToV's characters its the tales series them selfs. But i really think its going to be hard to beat out ToV's storyline. Alot of the stuff the story dealt with i could really really relate to. And the whole aer/blastia part of the story was so well thought out. I never really put a main focus on the villains because most jrpgs have very forgetable villains. The villain from both ToA and ToV were awesome though. ToA's villains are more well developed then ToV's villain but the villains in ToV have better personalitys. Both have good back stories though like Asch and Largo from ToA and Duke and Yeager from ToV.

It's a shame that Vesperia didn't go more in depth with it's villains. Like you said, they had really good and interesting back stories and personalities, but they really left us hanging. I liked how Alexei was pretty much the Flynn of the great war, but then power corrupted him and became twisted. Or how Duke was like a Yuri of the great war, only to be betrayed by humanity instead of being embraced the way Yuri was. You could see that Flynn looked up to Alexei and that Yuri liked and understood where Duke was coming from. More insight would have made them so much better. Vesperia's biggest flaw to me was it's lack of development for it's villain and how rushed they were.

It's really too bad, but I'm confident ToT will make up for it. The only question is will ToT's villains have the coolness to them that Vesperia's had.

Power did not currupt Alexei. Alexei did what he did to enforce his own justice. He felt like following the means of the empire will not bring true justice and prosperity to all. So he wanted to obtain power to reform the world. Even if it meant he would have to suffer being branded as a criminal he would suffer such burdens glady as long as he could change the world for the better. But yeah overall ToV's villains did not get enough development but they still beat most villains i've ran into lately in jrpgs.

You're correct. Those were his goals at the time, but the Alexei that was acting crazy isn't the same Alexei that fought in The Great War 10 years ago to -- the Alexei that fought to protect the lives of humans. If you recall his dialog at Zaude, he thought that he should be ruler. I think that had gained so much power his views became as twisted as they were. Like Estelle said, a man of his stature could have found another way. It's just that he wanted to rule all, lol. The ideal Flynn-like justice he believed in became the twisted Alexei justice we seen at Zaude.

@ Riot of the Blood

But all the stuff i've said Alexei said at the Shrine of Zaude. Check it out

Alexei's Mystic Arte spam is so bullshit. I had to turn the difficulty down to normal just to beat him. He would use it like 10 times on hard. Him and Kratos have super manly voices lmao...
