Ok, I was wrong, according to Sven on Capcom Unity it was started "Way before. It was started right after UC."

So it seems they just never had any intention to make a real RE game to Wii.

Though this comment does some a bit crap, in 14 months a on rails shooter is only 35% complete?

Last I checked, this only proves that game is announced, not that no other RE games are planned for the Wii.

Also, the game was planned before developement. But sill, why plan for months if it's considered just something to slap together?

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Are you Lord_TNK on Capcom unity?

Yes. I even stated I was here.

On the unity thread, another user brought up that Sven can't comment on things before officially announced, and since this isn't any official announcement, there could actually be another game announced tomorrow (fingers cautiously crossed).

Quality games Capcom please, not more On-rail Shooters!!

Oh, quit your baw. I know railshooters don't give you the same rush of aggression hormones, but the fact is that they are simply a different form of gameplay, in no way lesser or inferior to any others.

Oh come on.  Don't you think enough is enough for rail-shooters.

I brought that game because i thought that it would help show that ppl on the wii like RE games and they could go all the way with a real one on the wii not a sequel to that!

It's a real RE game. The interface is irrelevant. I reiterate: quit your baw.

Complexity is not depth. Machismo is not maturity. Obsession is not dedication. Tedium is not challenge. Support gaming: support the Wii.

Be the ultimate ninja! Play Billy Vs. SNAKEMAN today! Poisson Village welcomes new players.

What do I hate about modern gaming? I hate tedium replacing challenge, complexity replacing depth, and domination replacing entertainment. I hate the outsourcing of mechanics to physics textbooks, art direction to photocopiers, and story to cheap Hollywood screenwriters. I hate the confusion of obsession with dedication, style with substance, new with gimmicky, old with obsolete, new with evolutionary, and old with time-tested.
There is much to hate about modern gaming. That is why I support the Wii.

Haha I guess if it comes stateside then everyone will love Capcom again and say they always got the Wii gamer's backs. No wonder most people throughout history don't trust public opinion. Just flows with the wind haha.

Anyways this would be awesome if it did.

i've never stopped loving capcom.

Not a 360 fanboy, just a PS3 fanboy hater that likes putting them in their place ^.^

Did you buy the other "real" RE games:

Resident Evil: Survivor

Resident Evil: Survivor 2 CV

Resident Evil: Dead Aim

Resident Evil Outbreak and Outbreak: File 2

Those was the shity leftovers they gave PS2.  I guess its Nintendo turn now.

I am glad I reread the subject header. For a moment, I was wondering why there would be a Tamagotchi vs Capcom title coming out ANYWHERE.

I think a Famitsu article counts as an offical announcement surely? It wasn't meant to be publish yet I believe, not until Friday.

That's correct.

You do that, in the meantime the rest of us former Capcom fans will be playing Madworld and buying games from dev. who have actually seen what is missing on the Wii and filled the need.

Spyborgs is a f----n joke and i have no confidence in them anymore.

btw, DAMAGE CONTROL, would / should probably include ports of the Wii versions of RE1 or something. Thats probably the ONLY way they can atleast attempt to rectify this situation. Not with me though.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

You know this how? Those screens of the build that was thrown out?
