OMG I just went on Eurogamers website to see their comparison of Bioshock and....I couldn't believe it all this time I was led to believe the PS3 version would look better but is infact technically worse! 680p? Drops to 20fps? Blurred effect to improve performance? Crappy textures on Big Daddy? A year later for all that? GREAT!

Eurogamer is the only mainstream review website that actually takes it's job seriously. Only a very few games in history should be allowed a 90 or higher aggregate score (such as it is with film) and Eurogamer honors that fact by generally contributing the lowest (and still not low enough) score of most major games aggregate.

I got one thing to say: selnor is right.

 If you're not willing to give out the higher scores then what is the point of having a scale that high.  In fact given most reviewers will not give below a 3 (30%) it makes the entire review scale a mockery anyway.  Most film review sites moved over to rating by stars because a 10 point scale wasn't being used fully, in the instance of that system many films do still achieve a 5 star rating each year. 

If any review site were to take themselves seriously then they should review on the star scale rather than meaningless numbers.  My personal dream would be the removal of any scoring metric altogether though to force people to read a actual review from time to time.

EpicBattleAxe.com does this with their reviews. I find it a lot better than some of the other review sites because you get an opinion on how much fun the reviewer actually had with the game instead of some half-poetic, long winded and barely game focused "opinion" with a number slapped to the end. Generally I've agreed with their reviews. ArsTechnica is another place you should check out. They only review some of the bigger titles but they do not give scores and their reviews are very well written. At the end they smmarize what they liked, what they didn't like and if it is a buy, rent or skip in their minds. These review sites focus on the game, not the hype.

i dont think Gears got better graphics than KZ2 but even if that is the case you must know that the Xbox put out they 100% for that Game and the PS3 for KZ2 maybe 75%...so imagine how the graphics would be if they would use the 100%...i heard Naughty Dog use the 100% for Uncharted 2 and that will maybe be the best graphical Game this Generation with GT5 and maybe FF Versus XIII if SE will use the whole power of the PS!
