They have to release it in 2011 because 2012 is the end of the world. On a more serious note, I think they should wait till 2012 till an upgrade to a "Wii HD".

2011 is rather early. I thought they'd hold back until 2012 or so to release the Wii2 obama bundle
2012 would make more sense. Maybe 2011 in Japan and 2012 elsewhere.
As long as it is at least as powerful as a PS3/360 now and launches for $250 or less, Nintendo should win the next generation as well. Just please make the online experience better that it is today.
What I can predict is that Nintendo won't be the first to release a new sistem.
They might do this and re release the wiimote with WM+ built in or something else.
“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.
Sony will put out the PS4 first. They learned their lesson with high priced systems and all that.

That is a "bold" prediction if I ever seen one. Why would Sony release their system first if they are just barely turning it around with PS3 now. Microsoft or Nintendo will be the first to release a new system.
5 years later is not bad at all
don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^
