Wait for the oil market to bounce back, then the Venezuelan currency should recover. It'll at least work for Russia, and i can imagine the Venezuelan economy being just as dependent
Though in the meantime, i would recommend The Homebrew Channel for the Wii. It includes software to make the system region-free, and no mod-chips required, just a copy of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and an SD Card.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I live in Venezuela so games are too expensive. Wii games go for around 400 thousand Bolivares up to 550. PS3 games get as high as 650 thousand. That's about $180 for Wii games and over $200 for PS3 games.
Now, I heard Sony was starting to get a bit more serious with Latin America, so i expected games to drop. Wasn't the case, atleast not so far.
Anyways, I wanted to know if anyone else is having a similar problem. Anyone else live where you simply can't afford games? Or simply consider the 50-60 dollar price tag too high to begin with. |
My advice to you would be to set up an US PSN account. Then, buy games via PSN. Problem solved except for retail games (with rare exceptions like Burnout Paradise, Warhawk, SOCOM, etc.).
I recommend you rediscover the outdoors. I would give up video games if they were that expensive.
The main problem I see hear is that a lot of businesses won't ship to Venezuala, not to mention shipping price would be pretty hefty as well. That is what I am gathering from his responses. It is almost like a lost cause. I wonder how you even got a wii or a PS3.

i live in kenya and wii games r the most expensive. average price is 7000kes about 70 euros. ps3 games r the cheapest if u buy them from the sony store at between 50 and 60 euros.
60 is too high but I can deal with it. any more than that and it's bs.
Here in Brazil, a Wii console costs around U$1.000. Games are around U$120-150.
Awesome trailer for the new Ganbare Goemon game, to be released in March, 2009 for... Well, it's a Pachinko machine with a display. Oh, God.
