Of course that's the point of the vote. I'm saying it isn't good to be voting on these things though, because I don't think the community is necessarily the best way to judge the future validity of iPhone games, no offense. Miyamoto has a quote I think works good in this context, although it's about game development.
“We don't pay a whole lot of attention to the Internet until people have played the game - then we pay a lot of attention to whether people liked it. We read through it and see it, but we don't take it into consideration. ... [The Internet] is not going to dictate the direction of where the game goes.”
I think this site is far too critical and self serving to truly judge whether iPhone games are good coverage for us or not. I don't mean every voter either, but I'm sure far too many are voting for the wrong reasons.

I agree, most are probably voting for the wrong reason. I think we should change the vote from yes/no to now/future. Currently I don't think it is the time.

I see your point, so maybe it's best to think up a compromise. Maybe it's not the right time to venture into looking for iPhone content, but I feel we should allow contributors to supply us with news content, reviews etc. on a volunteer basis, just with no admin pressure to get content out on the platform at this time. That way if a contributor does happen to finish an iPhone game and has the itch to review it, he would be able to.
Mobile games are mostly impulse buy.
My nephew "accidentally" bought 5 games on his mom's phone.
Mobile games are only a secondary function of mobile phones, so no. Besides, there so many brands of phones, which accept different games.

lol, I hate the internet on my phone. I don't have a data plan, and the big center button automatically takes you to the internet. Every time I accidentally hit that it costs me $1

Sounds to me the button was there on purpose.
Hit me $1 button :)
I really don't know.
There's only one way to find out though. Try it. Selectively and low-volume at first. See how it goes.
After all, if all those years ago Nintendo has asked their then customers whether they should have move into video games they'd have got a big old no. Doesn't mean it was the wrong thing to do.
Thanks to respectable mobile entries into the God of War and Metal Gear franchises I have to vote yes.
